Donate to Jauharatul Islam Mosque

Jauharatul-Islam is the oldest mosque in the state of Arizona and among the first ever built from the ground up by African American Muslims in the United States.

 The masjid has sustained damage to the plumbing, electrical, and structural components of the property.  Unfortunately, our current insurance policy will not cover these type of damages. We are asking for donations to help us in our restoration project to repair the roof and other structural portions of our mosque.

We are a 501(c)(3) so all of your donations are tax-deductible and is Zakat(charity)eligible.

The picture above shows a portion of the mosque's ceiling which after many years of rain, is beginning to fall through.Brothers from our mosque are attempting to tar the roof to prepare for the next rain to come within the next week, to hopefully offset the collapse of the roof and ceiling.
The picture above shows a portion of the mosque that is now closed off to members for reasons of safety. Water has begun to leak through the ceiling and is at risk of collapsing; we are placing buckets to preserve the carpet as best as we can.
