Hello, my name is Suresh Pun, and I am the coordinator of Music for Education.

Music for Education is a not-for-profit, non-religious, non-political educational program, based in Pokhara, Nepal, and focused on improving the livelihoods and education quality of children in remote and underprivileged regions of Nepal. We are a group of young and energetic music professionals who dream of modernizing the educational system and providing better opportunities for rural Nepali children.

To achieve our aims, we are looking to where our passions and skills combine. We are planning a musical fundraising program: a music festival for national and international music lovers alike, with all revenue going towards our charitable goals.

These goals include, but are not limited to:

Our first target is Ruma Village, located near our base in Pokhara, Nepal. With your support, we hope to make this first project a success, and to reach out to other villages in Western Nepal.

Funds raised through this campaign will provide for sound and stage equipment and artist fees for the music festival. This will allow us to organize the event, and generate greater returns through ticket sales, with all revenue going directly towards our charitable goals listed above.
