Help Further Education

Thanks you for viewing my fund raising page. I'm currently 18 years old and an honors graduate from Lancaster High School in Lancaster Ohio. I had been accepted to Capital University a few months ago with high hopes to continue my education and become a Music Educator. However, since acceptance I've had so serious troubles. I applied for FAFSA and received about $35,000 in finical aid and scholarships. My total tuition is around $47,000. (Leaving me about 11,000 short.)Recently, I have had some family issues. My parents are no longer willing to cosign for any student loans, and that leaves me currently not able to attend college and pursue my passion for music. I came out to my parents about 4 years ago that I was gay. They never had a huge problem with it, until I actually got a boyfriend. I lost contact with my mother around my sophomore year, and she has no intention of helping me with student loans. About a month ago, my father decided to put me out on my own because he does not agree with the LGBTQ+ community. He keeps telling me that I am a sinner and will go to hell if I do not change. He has decided to not help me from now on. I have been finically responsible for myself for a few months, and I have been living with a friend in the meantime. I am unable to sign for student loans without a cosigner because I have no credit history, as do most students. I also am unable to find a cosigner who is willing to sign for my student loans. I really desire to continue my education. I love how music can bring people together. I want to give future students the opportunity I was given in high school. Music has shaped me to be a great leader, and I would not be the person I am today without those memorable experiences. I graduated with an honors diploma, 30+ credits, and a new outlook on the world around me. Please help me further my education. *All money donated will go directly to my tuition fees, if I receive more than I need, I will donate the remaining amount to a band program in need.
