Rare Complication Of Spinal Surgery

Jeff is a devoted husband, father of 4, and has served our nation's military for the past 20 years. In Novemver 2016, Jeff's truck was totaled by a van that tboned him as the van was passing on a double yellow line. This unknowingly led to the events that would change our lives 5 months later. April 8, 2017 he fell and was unable to walk or move his legs on his own. During the course of the next week the MRI showed a tumor on his spine that involved several nerves. We were told that without surgery he would be permanently paralyzed. On May 15 he underwent spinal surgery still with great chance that he could be paralyzed. He has been blessed due to the ability to walk, however since the surgery he has endured severe cramping and pain in his back and legs which completely disables him. Tomorrow he will undergo a second spinal surgery to stop the cerebral spinal fluid leak. At least another week in the hospital. As the hospital bills mount, we are unsure when or if Jeff will be able to return to work. He currently has no sick or personal time.
