Our dream wedding!!

We are trying to save for our wedding, and despite everything we are still coming up a little short.

Our dream wedding is a small gathering themed after viking tradition and aesthetics. We plan on having a hand tying ceremony, a prayer to Odin, and plenty of good food

We found each other at the end of our highschool lives. And have been close ever since.

Phoenix had been all over the place, surfing from couch to couch for a few years at that point, but when she first saw Vanessa sitting across the hall reading a fantasy novel, it was as if, for a single moment, all yje troubles were gone and everything was perfect.

It wasn't until later in the day she actually got a chance to meet this person. During the lunch break phoenix was introduced formally to Vanessa. The woman she now is marrying.

Vanessa had been in a dark place for a while, especially with school. The first time she met phoenix was when a friend introduced her to their school friend group. Her first impression was that she was kind, friendly, and a bit cute, and a little bit goofy.

After around a month of seeing her most days, a small crush had begun to develop. Though she didn't act on this feeling right away, pushing it aside for now. After another few months though, she was confronted by phoenix, who asked if she wanted to go out.

Our young love didn't differ that much from most others, we spoke every day, hung out during and after school when we could, went to the movies, all that fun stuff young couples do.

Eventually Phoenix stopped attending school due to, once more, losing another home. She had to relocate to an area with unreliable transit and a less than welcoming community.

During this time our relationship strained due in part to the newly established distance and the fact that we both had our own issues that we needed to work out. But neither of us were willing to give up. We pushed through, and made it to the other side of that dark period.

Phoenix eventually found a home in the blue mountains, where she would end up finding a permanent home. Vanessa stayed in the A.C.T. finishing her schooling and finding work.

Unfortunately, during this time we ended up putting the relationship on hold. Phoenix felt that a break was needed as her mental health was beginning to rapidly decline and it was hurting the relationship. Vanessa was devastated at this new development but ended up agreeing. We both cried for a long time...

After having worked on ourselves and our issues for just shy of a year, a time that to both of us felt like an eternity apart, Phoenix invited Vanessa to her uncles wedding as a plus one. It was on thos trip that we realised just how much we had missed eachothers company and time.

Things reignited quickly after that, Vanessa would come down regularly to visit phoenix in the Mountains, and they were rarely ever separated, talking ober the phone, playing games, watching movies and shows together. Until July of 2022 when Phoenix realised she never wanted to be apart from her love again and began planning. Vanessa however came to that same realisation in august. The race was unknowingly on to be the first.

Phoenix spent months planning the perfect moment to propose, she had a table booked at a fancy restaurant in Sydney, had spoken with the staff to organise everything perfectly. Unfortunately, she never pulled that plan off, as the night before while they were in bed, she blurted it out in her tired state. Her exact words were "I want to marry you.." Vanessa, shocked, woke her up and after a few clarifications, said yes.

Since then we've been trying to save but generally life gets in the way, bills, medical, emergencies. We're running behind and are asking for your help.

The last year with my Vanessa has been the best of my life, She is my heart, my star, my dearest. And I want to treasure her for the rest of my life.

The last year with Phoenix has been amazing and I want to spend my whole life and anything after with her. She is my love, my life and I am just at home with her and I would not ask for anyone but her.
