The Gunduz Medical Home Remed. Fund

As some of you are aware, my sister, Cristy and her family have been battling health issues for years without knowing the cause, when in the fall of 2016, they learned that they have 5 dangerous, toxic molds in their home. We are all familiar with household mold, but I've never seen or experienced the level to which the Gunduz Family has been paralyzed by toxic mold in their home. Cristy and 3 of her younger children have been diagnosed with CIRS (Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome). They have a gene which causes their bodies' inability to detox from bio toxins/mold which is debilitating at best and fatal at worst. They had to evacuate their home and live in an apartment while they hired a Professional Remediation Company to eradicate the mold in their home. A 2 week process turned into 3 months. After several failed inspectons and work quality issues, they were financially forced to dismiss the Remediation Company and move back into their home to begin finishing remediation themselves. In doing so, they found that the Remediation Company did much damage to their house and contents and the mold was not fully eradicated. They are currently living in 2 bedrooms and the laundry room and cooking on a camp stove outside. Remediation Company has agreed to come back and work along with Dogan to correct their work and make a second attempt. However, they are at a road block right now as they have exhausted all of their financial resources on the first attempt (as well as medical bills and cost of apartment for 3 months, among many other unexpected expenses), and they have found they are dealing with another particularly strong bio toxin which requires a very specific and costly treatment. They are in a desperate situaton right now. Dogan has been working tirelessly trying to rid the mold in their home and is physically and emotionally spent. He is a school teacher and goes back to work in 2 weeks. This will not only create more strain on him but will be dangerous for Cristy healthwise. She and the kids are in a particularly fragile state as remediation is not complete and the continued exposure can actually be fatal. It takes all able bodied family members to take care of the 3 younger sick kids, and to continually keep everyone and their current living space decontaminated throughout the day. Their Homeowners Insurance Company has dropped them throughout this process. They've had to get rid of over half of the contents in their home and losing more daily. They have one of the top 10 bio toxin specialists in the country who knows how to treat their condition, but health insurance will not cover. They also are working with the only Remediation Company who is willing to help remediate to the level a mold sensitive family would need. They are out of money now though and are at risk of losing their home. If you can help in any way to get them back into their house and start them on the road to healing it would be greatly appreciated! No donation is too small! Thank you for your support for this amazing and faithful family!!
