Dear All
we used to live in our home, work, and welcome the morning with coffee. My husband Ali would then go to work, and I would start tidying up the house until he returned. We had many dreams: to have children, educate them well, and improve ourselves to live better. We used to spend enjoyable time together, staying up every Thursday night, going out for tea in a café and chatting. But what happened on the morning of October 7th turned everything upside down. We were forced to leave our home in northern Gaza, leaving everything behind: our memories, clothes, pictures of our happiness, everything, even the clothes we prepared for our future son. Just two weeks later, we were informed that the house had been destroyed by Israeli rockets. We've been displaced many times; we're now in Rafah, preparing to flee for the seventh time as the Israeli occupation decided to invade the city. We have nowhere to go, we'll move to a tent again, suffering from shortages of everything, as the Israeli blockade tightened, leaving Gaza completely isolated. We now only think about escaping this ruin, starting anew for a better life for us and our children in the near future. The occupation destroyed everything, trees, stones, no electricity, no sanitation, no water now. It feels like the horrors of Judgment Day. We strive to escape this difficult situation. I am Marah Hamad and my husband is Ali Al-Qan.

seeking to leave Gaza and start anew. To leave Gaza, we have to pay a staggering amount of $5,000 to $10,000 per person just to cross into Egypt. After that, I'm a nurse and can work to start afresh in a new country. We hope to return to our homes and loved ones one day. Eight months of mass killing for us, horrific scenes and images, every passing moment fills us with anxiety and fear. My heart is broken with fear, and I can no longer bear what is happening to us."
