This is my dad, Ronny. For the past 4-5 years, he has gone through more than anyone I've ever met. He's had more than 15 surgeries, countless hospital visits and close calls, and so much more has happened.

He broke his back when I was a kid and always had back issues. Then he was assaulted at work a few years ago, and from then, so many issues have come from it. He has had multiple herniated disks, scoliosis, constant and excruciating back pain, a blood infection, endocarditis, nerve endings crushed and pinched, ankylosing spondylitis, and so many more health-related issues. He was disabled and hasn't been able to work or do any of the things he loves anymore without being in horrible pain.

Recently, he had a surgery to help his back, and all went well until this last morning when he woke up and his colon was ruptured. He was in unbearable pain and was rushed to the ER. He was prepped for surgery, and while he was in surgery, there were complications. He ended up and is currently in a coma and is on a ventilator. The doctors are optimistic, but with his past health issues, complications and BP and kidney test results, it is all up in the air.

The medical bills have been a battle itself, and with him being out of work for the past year, leaving just my stepmom to work, it's been very hard on them.
