Help Ashley Heal

On Feb 20th, just a few days before she was due to begin her new job, Ashley sustained a severe head injury at the barn.  It was a horrible accident and she was flown via helicopter to John Muir Hospital.  She will require multiple surgeries, dental work, and significant time to regain functional abilities.  She has had one surgery to repair her broken jaw but will need another surgery at a later date.  She is still in a lot of pain and just came home Sunday night only to have to go to ER 3 hours later to get the pain under control.

You all may know Ashley from around the barn, as she worked for Heidi and then Laurie.  She was a calm, low key presence - a sweet and good natured young person who just wanted to learn and be with the horses.   She is going to school to become a welder and was supposed to start a new job welding at a local manufacturing company in Livermore, which is now obviously on hold pending her injuries.

Obviously, accidents happen and  this could have happened to any number of people, let's pay it forward and support Ashley in a time of need.  When injuries of this magnitude occur, there are always a number of unforeseen healthcare related expenses, all funds will be paid directly to Ashley and her mom at the culmination of this campaign in a lump sum, likely about the time the bills start to come in.  Even a small donation is an act of kindness and generousity that will mean a lot to Ashley and her family.
