Help Tom while he battles Cancer!

Hello all, we are fundraising for our father Tom Neal .

For all of you that don’t know, our father unexpectedly fell ill just days after father’s day 2023 with what he thought was a bladder infection or at least that is what he was being treated for . Few days later after his urgent care appointment he was at his follow up appointment with his primary doctor, she took one look at him and sent him to the lab for testing. A few hours later , while he was working on his yard ,I’ll never forget, his phone rang . The doctors office was on the phone telling him he needed to get to the hospital Right away because he needed medical treatment ASAP because his bilirubin levels were dangerously high .

Once admitted into the hospital they ran test after test and they found a mass on his pancreas , what was happening was the mass was causing a blockage in his body and that’s what causes the bilirubin levels being so dangerously high. He Immediately had to go in for surgery to have a stint put in so his body could start to function right. They told our dad that they believe it’s cancer but he still held hope it wasn’t. They ran a biopsy and then another and our father got the diagnosis that no-one ever prepares you for. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. His first response to the doctor was what do I do to fight this I want to be around as long as I can with my family.

Since then he has held his head high and started his battle with cancer, he is determined to be cancer free.

He has undergone multiple hospital stays due to stint issues, months and months of chemotherapy and radiation, physical therapy and Numerous test and other treatments . Since that very call from the doctors office that evening he has not been able to return to work . He went from working 2 jobs with tons of over overtime to nothing . He is just 60 years old , two years away from retirement. With this unfortunate incident he has blown through his savings to pay his bills and for everyday expenses because he is too young to retire and only getting long term medical pay from work that is nearly nothing compared to what he was making.

Our amazing father goes in for surgery on 2/20/24 for surgery to remove the mass and hopefully beat his battle with cancer , but he is now facing Financial hardship paying his bills as he continues to be out of work for a-least another 3 months if he’s lucky due to recovery.

Please if you can help my father as he is never one to ask for help . We are hoping this will lessen his stress and allow him just focus on recovery.
