Our gorgeous blue suddenly took poorly a couple of days ago. He was rushed to the emergency vets where they diagnosed him with diabetes, but also with a life threatening complication, DKA diabetic ketone acidosis. His body has stopped producing insulin. The vets have been fighting to save his life and he has been started on insulin and fluids, last night they rung to say he had fluid in his stomach and they inserted an NG Tube to drain.

Unfortunately we have had the dreaded call today, the cost, his treatment is already in the thousands. But to stabilise him it is going to cost around £10,000, money we just do not have to one side.

Blue is a loving family dog who is adored by all the grandchildren and neighbours. He has the funniest personality of any dog, he is more than a pet he is our baby.
