Please help save my best friend

I'd like to raise money to have a ramp installed for my mother's wheel chair as well as pay off both future and present medical bills.

The bills have reached the thousands and continue to add up. Any kind of support or well wishes is greatly appreciated.

Back in 2006 my mother was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. It was a hard period for me being the start of high school. She showed perseverance and never stopped believing. She fought with both chemo and radiation therapy. My mom beat cancer and went into remission in 2008.

In 2014 our team raised over $200 dollars for the Avon walk for breast Cancer.

It was around this time things took a turn for the worst. My mother developed a limp. At first we thought it was just old age or a strain but it got worse.

This beautiful wonderful woman who showed nothing but love and compassion for others was diagnosed with stage 3 bone cancer.

Of course treatment started as soon as possible. Intense sessions of chemo were started in the fall. This was just the beginning of a very long battle.

The day after Thanksgiving my mother had fallen. She was rushed to the hospital and diagnosed with a broken hip. The chemo had attacked the tumour on her hip and caused it to break. She then went through physical therapy, which the insurance refused to pay for. Along with the PT she was going through radiation therapy. She completed that and things were looking good. However she developed severe radiation burns around her hip.

One day, while I was at school she had a fall. She was fine, but she just kept feeling discomfort in her leg. When we took her to the doctors we discovered that it bent the medal rod in her hip. It's now at the point where she can't move. My mother is wheel chair bound. The doctors say she will never be able to walk again.

Our house has five steps, and that's not a lot but for a woman who's hip is, to quote the doctors, "complete mush" it's like climbing a mountain. She goes to doctors almost everyday for chemo, blood work and now for her hip. Due to the burns from radiation she cannot have surgery because the risk infection is too high. She is stuck in a wheel chair.

I have never seen anyone fight so hard in my life, or someone who deserves to live more. The insurance won't pay for half the treatments and the medical bills are reaching the thousands.

All I want is to keep my best friend around for a little while longer. She is all I have.
