Help Save Duchess
Donation protected
On November 14th my sweet Duchess, who is a rescue and dearly loved, was diagnosed with FIP(Feline Infectious Peritonitis). Until recently FIP was a death sentence for cats.
Due to a recent study there is a drug that can fight FIP, it's an anti-viral medication that prevents the FIP virus from reproducing. Cat's who develop FIP have an immune deficiency that causes the white blood cells to replicate, rather than fight, the virus. Essentially the cat's immune system is spreading the virus throughout the body rather than eliminating it. There are two forms of FIP, wet and dry. Duchess has wet FIP. She is only a year old.
The medication is costly, duration of treatment is 12 weeks and based on the cat's weight. Duchess is on her fourth day of treatment and has already shown significant improvement. She is eating, drinking and more alert. All monies donated will be greatly appreciated and will be spent on continuing her treatment.
Thank you.
