Ms. Patricia Howard reached out to me during the pandemic to see if I could help her secure food, cleaning supplies, paying bills, and more recently a car because her van is no longer running. Ms. Howard is 60 years old, a retired hairdresser, who lives on social security disability on South 1st Street in Charlottesville. She is the guardian for her 83 year old aunt who lives in assisted living and takes care of her disabled 53 year old cousin who lives on his own. She needs a reliable car in order to visit and support both of them, as well as herself.

I found her a 2002 Subarau Impreza at B.R. Devine's C'ville Imports in Charlottesville. The sale price is $2760 (includes new inspection, yesterday B.R. had the car's AC upgraded to ensure a cool ride, and a small repair on the windshield), but does not include the cost of taxes, title and tags. I set up this GoFundMe account to raise $3000 so she can purchase the car.
