Barn Raising
Daniel Thornborough passed away suddenly on April 21st. His biggest project - and the one he was most looking forward to completing - was the barn. It is meant to house both his woodworking equipment and his wife Renee's crafting equipment (such as a kiln and table space for teaching classes).
As the photo shows, the exterior of the barn is mostly finished. However there is still a lot of work to be done. The yard needs to be graded and seeded for grass. A raised path made of pallets and ply board needs to be replaced with a proper boardwalk. Barn patio and drive access concrete needs to be laid.
We were also hoping to plant some fruit trees, such as apple and Meyer lemon, as Dad always wanted fruit trees surrounding the barn.
In lieu of flowers we instead ask for help in completing Dan's last big project.
