Luna Update
Thank you! For your support truly means the world to me.
Today, Luna got to spend most of the day resting in bed, finally getting some comfort after everything she’s been through. We did have a small scare when she started peeing more blood, but the vets quickly diagnosed her with a UTI and prescribed another medication.
Her road to recovery will be a long one, but I’m so grateful she gets to do it at home surrounded by love. With the amount of meds she was sent home with, I could probably open a mini pharmacy, but I’ll do anything to make sure my girl gets better.
After five blood transfusions, over 20 needle pricks for bloodwork, and more tests than I can count, Luna is still standing strong. She’s a true fighter, and I can’t wait to see her running around and playing with her friends again soon.
Thank you again for all the love, donations, prayers and shares. It means everything.
*Update on Luna
Thank you so much to everyone who has donated, shared, or reached out. Your support means the world to us!
Luna has now received four blood transfusions and undergone three X-rays. The good news is that her blood levels are finally starting to stabilize, and because of that, the doctors are beginning to discuss possible procedures to help her heal.
She’s been such a trooper through it all, and it looks like the bleeding has either slowed significantly or stopped. We’re not out of the woods yet, but this is the most hopeful we’ve felt in days.
Luna is my whole world, and I just want her to come home. Thank you all again, your kindness is what’s helping us get through this!
Hi everyone, I’m organizing this GoFundMe on behalf of my niece Gabriela Limones-Borja and her beloved dog, Luna. The words below are from her heart. If you know our family, you know how much Luna means to her. Thank you so much for your support during this difficult time.
Help Luna Fight for Her Life
As many of you know, Luna is my whole world. I've had her since she was just 13 pounds, and I truly can't imagine life without her.
Late last night, Luna suddenly started throwing up blood. We rushed her to the emergency vet, and while her blood levels were stable enough to come home, we knew something was seriously wrong. By morning, she had blood in her diarrhea, and we've been at the vet ever since.
Luna is currently in critical condition and receiving blood transfusions. The doctors believe she may have severe stomach ulcers, but we're still waiting for answers.
This has already been an incredibly expensive and emotional journey, and we don't yet know what the road ahead looks like. If you're able to donate toward Luna's medical care, we would be endlessly grateful. Every bit helps, and even just sharing this means the world to us.
Thank you for supporting my girl.
Gaby
