On April 29th, 2017 I received a phone call that no newlywed should ever receive. We had only been married a month. I was told that my husband had been in a long boarding accident. I was in shock. I thought his friend was trying to be funny. Once I realized it was serious, I asked to talk to someone. A police officer that was on the scene got on the phone and instructed me to go to the hospital. When I made it to the ER, I was told it took 5 people to hold him down and he had to be sedated. He wasn't making any sense. It wasn’t long until we realized something was wrong. Additional tests would reveal that he suffered two skull fractures and a traumatic brain injury. It was hard to believe that he obtained these injuries with a helmet on. When the doctor went over the results with us, he informed us that there was damage to the frontal region of the brain. I have been the only one working since the accident. Medical bills are starting to pour in. If you could please help us, it would be greatly appreciated!!
