Hi my name is Mark.

I am raising funds to get my van repaired and for living costs and to generally help me back on my feet.

I live in my van with my beautiful patterdale terrier who is my world and without her I can honestly say I wouldn't be here!

I was forced into homelessness just before Christmas 2025, I was signed off for mental health reasons, it was badly deteriorating and on top of that I have a physical disability (knee cartilage), I wasn't getting the correct benefits so I could no longer afford my flat, on top of not getting correct benefits they were also talking money from me every month for a debt , it has now come to light that this was a mistake on their end.

I am 42 and have worked most of my life, I had a breakup and moved back to my home town to try and build a relationship with my parents because I needed them, they weren't interested, don't want to know and all I've done is not been in touch because we were never that close

My mental health deteriorated and after spending all my savings on living I had to go on universal credit. It has recently aspired that I was on the wrong benefits and should have been getting more money, which means that I probably wouldn't be homeless!

I am literally broke with no money, can't afford even to top my phone up and my van needs mechanical work so I can't move anywhere.

I'm really struggling and just need some help to get back on my feet.

I've been suicidal at times , the 1 reason that's keeping me hear is Skye (dog) because none of this is her fault and she needs me to look after her and give her love and lots of cuddles!

asking for money was never something I wanted to do as I'm quite a proud person and always paid my way. but my situation is really bad and all I want to do is get back on my feet in order to try and get my mind healthy again, i don't want to give up on life, I want to start enjoying it again and travel the country and maybe even Europe in the future.

I just want to be the best version of myself that I possess can and gives Skye a good life!
