Homeless Family after house fire
Donation protected
Roughly 245am I was woken up by my 6 year old (yes he's OUR hero) I opened my eyes, the next moments went so fast. Unfortunately this my 3rd house fire one in the 90s then 2015 (which took my sister's life & our pets) Now Easter morning. Thankfully everyone got out. We ran out with just the clothes on our backs and no shoes. We really thought the fire dept would get there in time, we knew there would be damage but not a total loss. No one knocked on our door, or the old lady next to us! James kicked in her door! This is so unreal, we are taking it one day at a time. We are blessed to be alive 7 siblings and a precious baby girl born on 4/17 that need a roof over their heads.
This GMF is strictly for my family to help us get through each day and deal with the aftermath of the brutal fire that took our home. Most importantly to help us get into a new home. We appreciate everything and everyone who is helping our family. Prayers are always welcomed. Please make contact with me if you have donations for my family! Thank you all so much for helping my family in this time of need. God Bless.
Update 8/13 a lot has happened. We still have no home. Thank you to anyone and everyone helping my family during this hardship.
Update 6/5 we are displaced still, looking for housing. One thing we didn't think of, hotels over booking means we have to check out. When you don't have a home or family, and surrounding hotels are booked your options are limited. Just because we lost everything to a fire doesn't mean they will hold a spot for us. Thank you to everyone helping us during this time of need.
Update 5/4 we are still in a hotel, we had to switch. Sadly it's more uncomfortable then the first one, we will make it work. When you have a large family it makes things a little more challenging. My kids say lesson learned don't have a lot of kids, I said absolutely not. Life throws you curve balls all throughout this journey. We have to get up and keep going. We keep hoping this is a horrible nightmare that we will wakeup from and everything be like it was before the fire.
Update 4/26 We are still in a hotel no luck with housing yet. One day at a time is all we can do. After we get on our feet we will send out Thank yous. We will never forget those who helped us in this time of need. The emotions are raw and very real but we are forever grateful for everyone. God Bless!
Update 4/19 We are still in a hotel no luck finding a new place to plant our feet. We are so Thankful for the 4 individuals (not Red Cross) who helped us with the first two weeksvhotel stay being paid for. Right after the fire was brutal. I don't want to put their names out there, they know who they are Thank You. We have a long road ahead of us and we want to Thank everyone helping us along the way.
