Get Us to the UK In Spite of Chase Bank

Jay and I have been planning this trip to the UK for months. It is very important for me to go to the World Fantasy Convention in Brighton to promote my books (written as S. P. Hendrick), and to do some research for the next 3 novels. We prepaid the convention memberships, awards banquet, even the hotel, placed ads in the program, all non-refundable, and budgeted everything down to the penny.
And then today it all fell apart.
I had decided that instead of putting the Social Security checks into my credit union, I would help our credit out by paying down the Chase Visa, figuring I would put the airline tickets on it at the end of August when there would be an ample balance. I put in $2200 in the last couple of months, figuring maybe they would even raise my credit.
WRONG MOVE!
They noticed a departure from my usual payments and cut my credit limit by $1500, making it impossible for us to get the money together in time to get the airline tickets and the other things we will need for the trip. When I spoke to them about it they didn't care I was bringing in $1200 per month more than I did last year. And by them downgrading my credit it will have the same effect on every credit card I have. Bottom line is the first vacation we would have had in 4 years, the dream that has been keeping me going all these months, has turned into a nightmare.
Please don't let Chase Bank win!
Help us to get to England. If you want to consider it a loan, I will gladly pay you back after the first of the year, just as I would have paid them back, in full, after the trip.
