As most of you know, my mom rarely asks for help. She's usually the first one to offer help to others and take care of the ones she loves, and strangers as well. She is probably the most giving person that I know. She's my hero.

Most of you may not know that recently my mom was diagnosed with Invasive Adenocarcinoma, a form of colon cancer. While this was not easy for us to receive this type of news, my mom has a very positive attitude about things and we are more than confident that she will beat this. According to her doctors, the cancer is contained within a tumor inside her intestines. There are some lymph nodes surrounding the tumor that will be removed as well and biopsied. Surgery is set for March 30, 2016 at Eden hospital in Castro Valley.

This is not an easy thing to do, but I am reaching out to you all in hopes that you can help in any way possible. If you can donate, that would be great. If not, just simply keeping my mom in your thoughts and prayers goes a long way too. This is definitely a very scary thing for her and our family to go through, but my mom is a fighter and will show cancer that she's not backing down.
