Danny’s Cancer Fund

Many of you know my brother Danny and his story. My brother and I have always been close. I’m lucky enough to call him my brother and friend. We have memories from childhood through adulthood and I want to continue to make as many memories with him as God will allow. That’s the reason for this Go Fund Me page. My brother Danny was diagnosed with stage 4 GBM brain cancer in March 2018. Prior to being diagnosed with cancer he had seizures which led them to the tumor on his brain. He had emergency surgery to remove as much of the tumor as possible. Danny then had a post-op stroke and developed blood clots in his right arm which makes it hard for him to use his arm still to this day. Fast forward a few months and Danny was accepted into a clinical trial at the University of Florida where he has to go every 3 weeks for treatment. It is here that we really realized that God has a plan for my brother. The doctors at the University of FL told us they don’t even know how my brother made it out of ICU because he had little to no blood flow. The only answer is God! God has a plan for Danny. And he isn’t finished with him yet! We believe God opened the door at the University of FL but there’s a lot of travel and money that goes into these trips and into ensuring Danny gets to FL for his treatments every 3 weeks. Danny makes his first leg of the trip here to SC and then my parents take him the rest of the way to FL. This is an exhausting trip mentally and physically for my family, especially for my brother. Each trip requires money for gas from Maryland to FL, a one night stay at the local Holiday Inn (the hospital does not have rooms available), and expenses for food during the travel. In addition, there are many medical bills as well. As you can imagine, this is very costly and funds are getting low especially since he has been unable to work during this process. I would love to raise enough money for this year so that my brother and family can focus on him and getting him the care he needs in order for him to live and beat cancer. My brother has to juggle a lot and miss time with his children to ensure he will be here for years to come. If we are able to reduce the worrying due to financial strains this will allow him to focus solely on getting better and enjoying every minute he can with his children and family.
