Hello, my name is Nicole Pierce. I am the eldest, and now only child for my parents Robert & Colleen Moody. Recently they have fallen on hard times. 5 years ago, my younger brother and only sibling tragically died by suicide. Since then my parents have both suffered the tragic loss of their son, and have been dealing with depression, PTSD, and other health issues. As some of you may know, my mother Collen was diagnosed with Carcinoid Cancer several years ago and unfortunately there is no treatment but palliative care.

Recently they have had a prolonged bout of bad luck. After the passing of my brother, my father Rob, was unable to keep working as an EMT and Emergency Dispatcher. It was just too hard. My family was always doing things together. My Brother was my dad’s best friend. They worked together at both dispatch and for the Town Of Lancaster EMS.

He had applied for disability and was granted it, for a while. But now those payments have ceased. He does not qualify for health insurance at this point, and MassHealth wants $800 a month for insurance. The system is broken for my parents.They have tried everything to get assistance. Including looking into the option of legally separating. Dad recently spent some time inpatient at Leominster Hospital with no health insurance, they were trying to get him approved for Masshealth but he was denied again, so those bills are coming.

And then after attempting to help us out the other day, Dad and my Husband were in a car accident. THANKFULLY they are ok. However, we do not know the status of his car. It's driveable, but for how long is unknown.

My parents have been through hell. They have been fighting for years to stay afloat, but it's not sustainable. They need help. Unfortunately I am not in a position to be able to help them out as much as they need. So I am asking for help. I am asking for friends, family, strangers, if they find it in their heart, to help them out. I would do anything for my parents, including asking for money for them.

The money would be going towards helping them out with Medical costs, Prescriptions, food, and Household bills.
