Sisters, students and passionate about animals! We have under our care 4 little angels, two of them have been rescued at different points of our life. Three years ago, while my sister was visiting family in Mexico, a small, frightened, one-eyed cat jumped into her arms like if he was asking for help and a opportunity to live. She took care of him, took him to the vet and spent a large amount of money to make sure that he was ok. We tried to find a family for him in Mexico since, as I have already said, we already have 3 more angels that came to our home before him. After a month of paying a shelter at the vet hospital, a lots of clinical studies, a surgery to clear out the tissue and sew the eye socket shut... the bill was huge for us! We brought him to Montreal and he suddenly developed an infection on his eye, he has to go under surgery for a second time and this time in Canadian dollars, which again was extremely expensive for us... During that time, we found out that he is FeLV+ (positive to Feline Leukemia Virus)... we were so sad and could not believe it, he has taken medication every day since. Sunday night, we realized that he lost a lot of weight in the last days, he was acting weird, did not want to move or play or eat his favourite foods.We took him to the vet the day after for a blood test and his vet said that we was in a really bad shape. Our hearts sank and the expenses keep adding... after the results, the vet asked us to take him to the hospital as fast as possible because he was in great danger of not going through the night... this morning we were told that he has to stay there for a couple of extra days and he has to do an ultrasound because they suspect it might be a cancer... there are no words to describe how we feel right now about this and also because we do not have the money to pay for everything. (The other angels are old and have also required to see the vet + medication recently...)
He is the sweetest and most grateful cat in the world, we will do anything for him and we will not let him down. Please help us with anything you can! We will really appreciate any help and we will use all the money for these angels that are just asking for a better life and lots of love. Thank you!
