Gino ( Service Dog) surgery

I am a special education teacher at ECLC in Chatham, NJ trained for our facility dog, Gino.
Gino is a 6 year old service dog. He works with our students who have intellectual and developmental disabilites. Everyone loves Gino!!!
Gino provides fun at recess, calm patience during stressful times and comic relief for the staff and students.
Students read to him and play games with him.
Gino provides connection. He is love.
Currently he is unable to work. He cannot take class trips, walk, or chase a Frisbee. He cannot climb stairs, or visit the classrooms.
Gino needs ACL surgery in both knees. He just had surgery on one leg. The second surgery will be done in 2 months. It is estimated that each procedure will cost a minimum of $4,000.00
Gino is sensitive, but strong. He loves to work.
He will be with the students next year when his legs are healed.
Students range in age from 5-21. Everyone misses Gino. It would mean so much to so many people (staff, students and parents) to have Gino back at work with us.
