January of 2016, my dad was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, which is a bone marrow cancer. He had pneumococcal pneumonia back in October of 2015 and was hospitalized. After a week, he came home with a mid line to continue antibiotics which broke, which then led to an infection called osteomyelitis in his back. He then had gotten multiple fractures in his spine due to weakened bones between the infection and the cancer. He had done chemo for a year and a half. Between everything going on he's been out of work for a year, and with the fractures in his back the doctors said that there is no surgery that can be done to fix his back. They said his back has deteriorated to the age of an 85 year old man. With him not having a job and my mom and I being the only ones working it's been hard paying bills. So, we had to let a lot of stuff go and get behind on most of our bills. We are a family of five, it's my mom, my dad, my brothers and I. We just really need help, and I don't know where else to turn to. He’s at home now and resting. They told him that he will never go into remission and that he will be on pain killers the rest of his life.
