Hello, my name is Liz. I'm 39 and a mother of 3. In June of 2019 I was sent to the ER due to abnormal blood work. When I arrived the doctor informed my sister and I that I was past the point of any other treatment other than dialysis to save my life. To my friends and family and people that see me in my daily life the news of my medical condition will be a surprise. Once I got the opportunity to be on dialysis my focus has been to be a better me for my kids and to show them that they too can get through life’s adverse times. This is why I’ve not told many people about my condition. I signed up to school to become a hairstylist and most of my social media is based on that, but recently I’ve been feeling tired. My daily routine consists of 14 hour treatment. Even though I am grateful to have dialysis to keep me alive, my spirit has been running low because I had to slow down on my daily routine to take care of my health. This morning I received a call from my nephrologist telling me that I qualify for an out of state transplant list. This is why I’ve created this go fund me. Update (8/22/24) I turned 40 thank the God lord! I’m a certified Hair stylist passed my test today. I’ve had so much going on didn’t think I would pass. I’m so happy I did.
