My name is Styles Alexander Smith. I have been a hairdresser for 26 years. Recently my life has taken some unforeseen turns and has forced me to make some life changing decisions. At almost 50 years old I have decided to leave my salon in Colorado Springs to a dear friend that deservedly has earned a boost in her life. I'm not selling it to her I am giving it to her. All the equipment, furniture, decor, electronics, clients and point of sale. I could sell my salon but somehow paying it forward or " making a deposit" into my karmic bank seems like the most right thing to do at this time. On June 9, 2017 I will embark on a new journey that will take me back and forth across the country. It is my intention to go from major city to major city and start a video blog campaign to do hair for the homeless, those less fortunate as well as those that could use just a little compassion and a little joy in a world that otherwise can seem so bleak. I need to raise $2500 for the video equipment. The rest of my journey will be self paid by working on the road and what savings I have accrued. Please help me raise this money for the video equipment and follow me on my journey to bring hope to the few I may touch. I know I can't change the world but through the stories of those less fortunate maybe we can see life through a different lens and find a way to feel fortunate for what we have, what we've earned and what a little act can do to change a persons spirit one haircut at a time.
