I am Cat, and I'm posting this GoFundMe in hopes of raising some money for my good friend, Ben, who is going through a rough time. 

Ben is 20 years old and is going to college for a Mathematics degree. Unfortunately, this semester he was forced to drop out of school due to his Crohn's disease flaring up, requiring him to get surgery. Currently he is living at home, unable to work and earn money because he is recovering from surgery. 

This semester he signed a lease on an apartment on the campus of his school, and even though he isn't living there currently, he still needs to pay rent. However, because he isn't working he cannot afford to pay the $500/month for his rent. 

I am hoping to raise this money for my friend so that he doesn't have to worry about finding money to pay rent, and so he can rest a little easier this holiday season. 

Ideally I would like to raise these funds (or part of these funds - every little bit counts!) before Christmas. 

It would mean a lot not only to me, but also to Ben and his family if we are able to raise this money.
