Guernsey Valley Babe Ruth All-Stars were crowned as Ohio Valley Champs this
past weekend in Robinson, Illinois. As a result, the team will be representing
the Ohio Valley Region in the Babe Ruth World Series in Williston, North
Dakota, August 17th to the 24th.
The Guernsey Valley All-Stars are comprised of 13-Year Olds from the Guernsey Valley Babe Ruth Association. The team includes: Christian Dodd, Austin Mckee, Conner Leppla, Alec Bell, Zac Wheeler, Bryce Antill, Ryan Rusnak, Alex Valentine, Kobie Berger, Mason Long, Connor Aleshire, Stevie McPeek, Garth Charlton and Alex Gress; coaches Mark Aleshire, Jeff Mckee and Jim Antill.
As you can imagine, moving on in tournament play can be very challenging and very expensive. In order to defray some of the costs of travel, lodging and uniforms, the team is seeking monetary donations from area business and community leaders. As the team progresses further, it is becoming increasingly more difficult for all players to participate because of the financial commitment..so every dollar counts! Your participation is greatly appreciated and will certainly be recognized within the community.
