Transition Fund

I am reaching out to you today to seek your support as I continue my transition and work towards completing it. As some of you may already know, I came out as non-binary in 2020 and began taking estrogen in 2021. This step, along with other measures I took to affirm my true self, brought me a sense of wholeness and authenticity that I had been yearning for. It not only helped me address long-standing mental and physical health challenges but also allowed me to truly feel alive again.

Due to personal circumstances, I made the difficult decision to temporarily suspend hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and present as male during my time at grad school in Miami. However, after being off HRT for a significant amount of time, I have experienced a recurrence of my previous health issues -- most prominent being a constant state of dissociation from the world around me. It is clear to me that fully committing to my transition is crucial for my overall well-being, both mentally and physically.

This is where your support comes in. I have created this fund to raise the necessary financial resources to embark on the next steps of my journey. The funds raised will be allocated towards the following:

Electrolysis: Ensuring permanent hair removal, a critical aspect of my gender affirmation process.

Gender Affirming Surgery: The cost of the procedure itself, as well as the associated recovery expenses, enabling me to align my physical body with my true identity.

Medical Copays: Assisting with the ongoing medical expenses, including consultations, check-ups, and other necessary treatments.
