COVID-19 Relief Fund for India organized by ICA
The COVID-19 situation in India is critical right now with skyrocketing new cases every day. A relentless wave of new COVID-19 cases has overwhelmed India’s healthcare infrastructure system. There are more than 21.4 million confirmed coronavirus cases and over 234,000 deaths as of May 8, 2021. Hospitals are scrambling for beds and oxygen supply as India desperately battles a second surge of COVID-19 cases. Morgues and crematoriums are struggling to keep up with so many deaths. The people of India are grieving and are in deep pain and stress.

The India Canada Association of Saskatchewan (ICA), a non-profit organization established in the City of Regina, Saskatchewan in 1975 representing the East Indian community is requesting urgent help from all of you to help raise funds. Funds raised will be utilized to provide critical health care support in India in this immediate time. The ICA is committing $3,500 to start the fundraising effort with a minimum target of $100,000. The funds raised will be distributed to the local charities in India which are providing critical care on the ground in severely impacted regions.
