In Need Of Help With Burial Expenses

One year ago, I started a campaign in order to help with rebuilding my fathers house after a fire. It's been a long road, and while I never met the goal, with help from friends and family (and a few strangers) we mostly got it done. Unfortunately, the time has come for me to ask for help again. Over the last year and a half, my fathers health has gotten worse and he's now under hospice care at home. They gave him only 6 months but he's getting worse faster than I or anyone expected. So now I'm asking for help with his burial expenses. I was under the impression that he had life insurance and it was being paid straight from his Social Security every month. But due to circumstances that were out of my control and without my knowledge, the payments stopped and his insurance lapsed. Sadly, due to the fire, his health issues, and my inability to work full time or at all since I've been his caretaker, neither he nor I have the money to have services for him. I've contacted several funeral homes and the prices are all roughly the same, give or take a couple of hundred dollars. Thankfully his plot and headstone are already completely paid in full so they aren't part of the overall costs. My goal is to just give him the only two final wishes he has. To be buried rather than cremated and to be buried on the plot next to my mother. He doesn't want anything special. But he has been VERY adamant about those two things since my mother passed away. So with that being said, I'm trying to raise $4000-$5500 to pay for these two things. The good people at one funeral home said they can work with me but they have to have at least two thirds of the total price down. And that's all I'm asking for. I will pay the rest myself once I can get back to work once all is said and done. Any and all help will be appreciated and I will do whatever I can to make it up to each and every person that helps me out as long as I have the ability to do so. Personally, I hate asking for financial help for any reason but this is something that I will inevitably need help with. And I in no way want anything other than the down payment so when the time comes, I can make sure my mother and father are back together in the end like they both requested of me.
