Ron Croy lost his home yesterday to fire. He has worked hard his whole life to aquire a comfortable home, season tickets for the Oregon Ducks, and to build his 1972 International Truck into "The Duck Truck". He raised his 3 children with his wife Cheryl, and has been Papa Bear to me and my children since we moved to Oregon. He had finally retired to enjoy the fruits of his labor and Ron and Cheryl had plans to travel in that truck to see the country. He earned it!
During one of their first adventures Cheryl fell ill and never recovered. In 2017, Ron lost his partner of almost 50 years. 9 months later Ron was perminantly injured in a horrific traffic accident on his way to our home to visit before a Duck game. His beloved Duck Truck was an additional casuality of this event. Now he has lost his home in the Alameda Wildfire. This is too much.
Please help us help this beautiful person who has given so much and has had so much taken from him. Be generous, he had no time to collect anything before the fire was at his door.
His son lost his home as well as he lived right down the street. His other son's home was spared, but his wife's sister and parents also lost their homes. With these overwhelming losses, and supports so strained, I ask you to please help. Thank you.
