Hello All,
There is a hill on Camp Pendleton that has become a memorial. It is a very steep hill and very difficult to climb. Since 2007, it has become a memorial for Marines who have fallen in battle.
It has come to the attention of many of us who were in before 2007 that many of our fallen brothers do not have a memorial cross at the top of this hill.
A significant number of us who served during 2003, 2004, and the 2006 deployments are going to meet on August 19th and hike up a metal cross, concrete, and water. We have made dog tags for the 36 individuals who were KIA in our unit to hang from the cross. We also are having a plack made with all of their names to hang on the cross. We would like to help individuals from our unit who are financially strapped to attend and have enough money for the costs associated with the materials needed to complete this mission. Any donation would be appreciated.
Semper Fidelis,
Justin Brecht
