My name is Mister Mann Frisby and I am the Executive Director of The Achievers Brunch, a program that honors fifty (50) remarkable African American male Seniors from Philadelphia Public, Charter, Parochial, and Private Schools who have exceptional grades and are headed to four year universities in the Fall of 2022. At least nine of the scholars in the 2022 group have GPA’s of 4.0 or higher.
The inaugural brunch was held in 2018 followed by 2019, however due to COVID, 2020 and 2021 were canceled. Achievers Brunch Association is recognized as a Non-Profit in the state of Pennsylvania and has also been designated an EIN # from the IRS for tax purposes.
The money raised on GoFundMe will:
- Provide monetary gifts to all 50 honorees to assist with campus expenses.
- Fund the annual essay contests for at least three (3) winners.
- Cover expenses for the '3rd Annual Achievers Brunch' on Sunday May 15, 2022.
- Contribute to the group's community service project for 2022.
- Invested into a Spring fundraiser that will benefit current and past honorees.
- Direct Administrative Costs for running the program not to exceed 20% raised after site fees.
