This is my friend Maddie. She is so kind, selfless, and will make you laugh until your stomach hurts. Unfortunately, I may not be able to experience this laughter because she may not be able to come back to school this semester. Maddie’s mom was diagnosed with COPD last year and can no longer work because she is on full time oxygen. Her dad is on disability. This is something that has affected her family’s financial situation greatly. Because no one saw this coming, they were unprepared for a sudden lack of work and money. Maddie is an upcoming senior and without $6,000 she will be forced to drop out. This money will go towards dorm and class costs. Maddie is a very strong and proud person. That is why I am making this for her because she has a hard time asking for help when she needs it. However, she is someone who would not hesitate to help others. With her degree in psychology, Maddie hopes to help those struggling with addiction. Please help Maddie help others as well as herself. Anything helps!
