Support Kim's journey back to health

Our dear friend Kim has recently had a cancer diagnosis and is due to have an operation within the next two weeks. We want to help support Kim through this difficult time as much as we can.

Kim is a fulltime single parent to lovely Nala (who is 13) and they could really use some extra help from our community. The recovery from the operation is likely to be a considerable time and Kim won't be able to work, and as a self employed person this is particularly challenging.

After the operation it will be clearer as to whether further treatment is needed, so the full period of time to get Kim back to full health is currently unknown. We want to raise enough money to support Kim and Nala during these months, so the worry of financial issues can be lifted from them. Being a single parent in current times is already very challenging, so anything we can do to reduce the pressure on Kim as she navigates her way back to health will be deeply appreciated. We are hoping to raise enough money to help cover their living expenses: food, bills, rent, pet support and travel etc, for the next six months, as well as any therapies (including complementary therapies and good quality supplements) that may not be covered by the NHS. Unfortunately there isn't any additional financial support available for people in Kim's position with cancer.
