Hi, my name is Joshua Todd and I am from Sydney Australia. I have recently been accepted into Kennesaw State University in Atlanta, Georgia and I will be studying Sports Management while being part of the Division 1 Men's Golf Team.

All the hard work and dedication on the golf course and in the classroom has earned me numerous achievements and friendships but has also opened doors to college opportunities. Pursuing the college pathway and maintaining my golf career simultaneously will be financially challenging. As a freshman for my first year at college I will be on a 78% scholarship, which means there will still be a bit to pay out of pocket. Having to pay for flights, visa and health insurance on top of the tuition fee, everything all adds up. Furthermore, the first year of college as a freshman I am unable to work, which makes it challenging to save up.

Since the age of 13 I have been washing golf carts at Eastlakes Golf Course and have been saving ever since. I have recently just graduated school at Randwick Boys High as a Vice Captain and have made my way up to working in the pro shop now. By starting a new chapter in my life it will add financial pressure to my family for the next period of time as they have already sacrificed a lot to give me the opportunity to be where I am now.
