My 8-year-old baby German Shepherd, Sweetie, is in need of emergency surgery for Pyometra. She has been with us since she was 10 weeks old. Our family is going through some financial difficulties right now and can't afford her treatment. My kids are absolutely devastated and heartbroken. She has been their best friend for almost 9 years and a leader and role model for her brother and sister.

When I had back surgery, she wouldn't leave my side. She would sleep in the middle of the hallway/stairs to be closer to me, yet close enough to be an earshot away from the kids. When my son got a concussion and damage to his retina playing soccer, she would follow him everywhere and sit right in front of him, just staring at him for days. She knew something was wrong with him as soon as he stepped out of the truck. When my sister got pregnant, she would lay her head right on her belly and just listen. I could go on and on with heartwarming stories, but we would be here all night. She has been a therapy dog for our entire family, and we would suffer tremendously if we were to lose her.

We are in desperate need of help to get this life-saving surgery for our sweet girl; anything helps.
