My name is Reanna, and this is my dog Storm. She is an Australian Cattle Dog mix. She is 10 years old. This is the first dog I have ever taken care of and been semi-responsible for. She is my world. She needs help as this is an emergency, and I cannot financially afford to take her to the vet.

I wanted to share an update about my sweet girl, Storm. Since she started her medication, I’ve noticed small signs of hope — she’s eating more, her energy has lifted a little, and I can see some of that light coming back into her eyes. Her wound has started to heal a bit, and I’m so grateful for every bit of progress she’s made.

But the truth is, the medicine can only do so much. It’s helping her manage the pain and infection for now, but it’s not a cure. Storm has a ruptured mammary mass that must be surgically removed — without the surgery, her condition will only continue to get worse. I’m terrified of losing her, and I’m doing everything I can to give her a fighting chance.

The next step is getting her in for an initial exam at the vet I’ve chosen. From there, I’ll receive a confirmed quote for the surgery. Right now, I’ve been told it could cost anywhere from $1,800 to $7,000, depending on what’s needed once they examine her more closely.
