ELC's Information Technology Academy is a career-oriented community which prepares students for success in college, workplace, and life. ELC Alumni have moved on to attends schools like Harvard University, UC Berkeley, University of Southern California, Cal Poly Pomona, UCLA and CSULB; and work at companies like Apple, Google, DirecTV, Morgan Stanley, Sungevity, and Murphy, Murphy & Murphy.
For 10+ years ELC's award winning Virtual Business has exposed students to regional and state wide Trade Show competitions that provide skills in Technology, HR, Finance, Marketing, Sales and Entrepreneurship. Unfortunately ELC's virtual business funding has been recently slashed in 1/2 due to Federal and State budget cuts! Because of this Students are at risk of having one of their must important Trade Show events cancelled. Historically the San Diego trade show has served as vital preparation for the State Wide Championship in Bakersfield. It's very important that we all unite to help our students achieve!!!! We are asking ELC Alumni, Community Leaders, Local Businesses, Students and Parents to join our cause and help us raise $5000 to support this cause. Whether you donate $20, $100, $500 or $1000 every penny counts; all funds will be donated to the Tech Academy's Virtual Business Non Profit Organization. This event is being sponsored by Strive to Better Organization & ELC Steering Committee Members.Contact John Ali Samadzadeh at [phone redacted] or Albert Lara at [phone redacted] for additional info.
