Hi Everyone! Thank you for visiting our page and for your continued support for Goose! Goose’s ACL surgery has been scheduled for Wednesday, 2/15.
Goose had ACL surgery on her right knee this past August, made possible thanks only to the love and support of friends and family like you! Goose recovered beautifully from the surgery. Unfortunately, there is high risk of a tear on the opposite leg following one ACL injury. I was hoping this wouldn’t be the case for Goose, at least not in the near future, but the need for surgery has become unexpectedly urgent. Goose is non-weight bearing on her left hind leg, resulting in a sad hobble and of course, a ton of side eye and sass.
While I began saving for knee #2 following knee #1, the advanced timeline of the surgery has resulted in financial challenges to Goose’s care. With so much love and appreciation, we are once again asking for support toward getting Goose this much needed surgery. Absolutely anything helps! Also - Goose is out of knees after this surgery and I truly can’t wait to put this behind us lol
An extra detail in case it’s helpful to your own journey with your pup - most pet insurance policies have a waiting period for specific conditions and will not cover preexisting conditions. Goose injured her right leg during the initial waiting period and is not eligible for coverage for her left due to ACL being a bilateral condition.
Lots of love and thanks,
Daryl and Goose
