Meet Junior, he’s an Arabian Welsh pony cross who I love dearly. I’ve been caring for him full time for about two years now since his owners have a lot on their plate. Junior’s owners are a wonderful single mother and her teenage daughter; they rescued him from a kill pen and turned his life around with so much love and care. Unfortunately, they are going through some things that no family should ever have to go through which does not leave them with the finances needed to cover the cost of Junior’s needs. Junior has Cushings, which requires a daily medication that can get pricey, on top of the cost to board him. Since he has some other complications rehoming him would not only be extremely difficult but would be risking this sweet boy ending up back in the pens he was rescued from. My goal is to adopt Junior allowing his family to keep him in their lives. However, as a single mother myself I don’t have the funds needed right now to cover everything. There’s nothing in the world that I want to do more than save Junior from euthanasia so his family, especially his sweet little girl, doesn’t have to lose him. I am hoping to raise enough money for his medication and board for a year to allow me to adjust my budget so I will be able to continue giving him the life he deserves.
