Dear community,
My name is Sabina, I am 13 years old, and I live in St. Catharines along with my parents and little brother. I started dancing when I was 3 years old and I am currently a student of the Professional Training Program at Niagara Ballet School. When I am not dancing I enjoy singing, drawing and practicing track and field.
Since I was 6 years old, I have wanted to represent Canada in an international competition. This year, that dream became a reality when I was selected to join Team Canada Dance 2025. This fall, I will be competing at the IDO World Championships performing both Ballet and Modern Contemporary routines.
Dancing has been what I've lived for ever since I can remember. Through dance I have made countless memories, met my closest friends, and have been able to find my purpose. Dance helps me express emotions bigger than myself. Everything I've ever conveyed on a stage comes from a place of pure, raw passion. It's that same hunger that's made me look forward to training, conditioning, and rehearsing because it's a chance to do the one thing I love more than anything. When I wanted to escape everything else in my life, dance was the haven I could run to, it always has been.
Therefore not only does this accomplishment mean my diligence to get here has paid off, but that I can bring something that is so sacred and special to me to a larger scale.
Although I am extremely fortunate to receive my parents' unwavering financial support, some costs are simply too copious to meet. Given this, even a small amount of your generosity can go far in helping me meet my fundraising goal of $5,000. Your support will aid me in meeting the cost of participation fees, costumes, and travel to Europe.
By supporting my cause, you are not only backing an individual, but the mission of promoting Canada's artistic and athletic presence on the world stage.
Thank you for your kindness and taking the time to read this - it's greatly appreciated!
