Help Needed With medical
Donation protected
I had surgery July 5th in Dallas with Dr Feigenbaum. With your help I was able to pay my deductible and you that donated helped with my travel in order for me to have this surgery. I will be responsible for the 20% Medicare will not pay. Your support is greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten. I still have a long road ahead of me, but I'm looking forward to a pain free future.

I'll be having surgery on my sacrum July 5th with Dr. Feigenbaum a Tarlov Cyst Specialist in Dallas, Tx. I'll be in the hospital July 5th, 6th and 7th for sure and due to being at high risk for spinal fluid leaks I'll have to stay in Dallas for three to four weeks.
I was diagnosed with Tarlov Cysts in my sacrum, which is a rare disease. The cysts are at the end of my tailbone attached to my spine and have grown into large cysts in my sacrum that have eroded my bone, caused a neurogenic bladder, colon problems, sitting on my main sciatica nerve causing nerve pain, neuropathy in both legs & feet. I've been to numerous doctors, have only found two that will even operate. The others won't touch me until I can't walk which they told me it'll eventually come to but surgery was too dangerous. I finally found Dr Frank Feigenbaum in Dallas, Texas that specializes in Tarlov Cysts & has done over 1700 tc surgeries. Medicare has approved the surgery. Iam disabled, living off a social security income (do not receive food stamps), thankful to have Medicare, but it covers 80% and I'll be responsible for the 20% it doesn't cover. I don't have any other health insurance. I will be in the hospital July 5, 6, 7th. Dr F is requiring me to stay in the area for 3-4 weeks after due to me being at high risk for spinal fluid leaks that only he will be able to repair & in case I have any complications with us living eight hours away. My husband & 8 yr old son will be traveling with me to help take care of me, because I won't be able to sit for very long, no bending, no twisting. The Dr will make an incision from my tailbone up my spine, open me, cut the cysts open, let the fluid out, wrap the cysts with a sterilized lining from a cows heart & place a plastic device over them. The cysts are my nerves that have filled with cerebrospinal fluid, therefore the cysts themselves can not be cut out. It's a dangerous surgery due to the nerves that are involved. I desperately need this surgery to relieve the pain, pressure, and before the damage gets to where I can't walk at all or I loose bladder/bowel function. I've never asked for help, but I need help with the medical & travel expense. Your help along with your prayers will be greatly appreciated. I will update as soon as I get an exact surgery date in July and my family will keep everyone updated once surgery begins. Thank you so much & God Bless!
