Top Surgery Support
Donation protected
Hello all--
After many years of wishing, thinking, and hoping, I've finally found myself in a position to move forward with top surgery. For my birthday, I'm asking the community that has emotionally supported me (more than I could ever thank them) to consider donating to my gender-affirming surgery. I currently use something called transtape--an adhesive tape that helps compress my chest. While it has served me well, it also has taken a toll on my sides/ribs, and I am often left with bruising, blisters, scars, and other complications. I've realized I cannot continue doing this and know I am more than ready to move forward with the procedure. Most surgeons do not take insurance (not that I have any), and the goal price is about half of what surgery typically costs. I am confident that between your help and my own savings, I can reach my goal by the end of the year.
Words cannot express what this surgery means to me; I have been on hormone replacement therapy for almost a year now and the difference it has made in my mental health is one I could nearly write a book about. I have no doubts this surgery would make me into the person I was always meant to be. Everyone should feel at home in their body, and I hope you consider donating to such a life-changing cause.
I thank everyone in advance for their contribution and here's to hopefully strutting around shirtless by the end of the year! <3
