On December 1st, 2025, I lost the love of my life, David. For 22 years, he was my partner, and my best friend. David had the kindest, most generous heart, he always put others before himself. My world has been forever changed by his sudden passing.

The pain of losing David is unbearable, but alongside our grief, our daughter Pamela and I are now facing an overwhelming and urgent financial crisis. Because the lease of our home was solely in David’s name, we were forced out almost immediately after his death. We were nearly left without shelter. Police only allowed us to remove a small portion of our personal belongings; everything else remains inaccessible. On top of this, David’s business was dissolved upon his passing.

We have recently learned that the probate court process could take up to six months, and even then, we do not expect any financial relief. David also carried debts, and there are no available funds to cover our current or future expenses.

At this time, we do not even know how high the total costs will be, but we do know that everything must be paid out of pocket. I had to use my credit card to cover David’s cremation. We are now facing attorney fees along with other unexpected expenses. I work, but there is no possible way I can manage all of this on my own.

David was born and raised in Upper Michigan and was a hardworking small business owner who lived a life of service. He was an ordained minister, worked closely with youth, loved sharing God’s Word, and was also a gifted artist and craftsman through his business, Coastal Cedar of East Hampton, NY.

We are heartbroken and overwhelmed. I am humbly asking for any support you can offer to help Pamela and me survive this unimaginable loss.
