Anahi's Medical Fund
Donation protected
As teachers, we only have our students for nine months out of the year. The moment they step foot into the classroom they become like our own children. We want the best for them and don't want them to suffer.
Rosario Rodriguez and myself, Janice Keszler, have had the privilege of having Anahi Puente in our classroom. She is one of the sweetest, friendliest, hardworking, well behaved students we have ever had. The last couple of months have been challenging healthwise. First, she was diagnosed with a disease called JDM, Juvenile Dermotomyitisis, an autoimmune disease. The medication used to treat this caused Anahi to have diabetes. In the last couple of weeks, her health has rapidly declined. She is currently in ICU at Stanford Medical Hospital. The doctors are taking it day by day.
When she is released from ICU, her recovery will be lengthy.
Due to the fact that we teach in a low socioeconomic district, our families struggle to make ends meet. At this time, Anahi's family only has one income for six people. The family would greatly benefit from any monetary support. The purpose of this fundraising is to help the family with any unexpected expenses, including daily travel to Stanford.
Thank you for your time! We look forward to having Anahi return to school.
Sincerely,
Rosario and Janice
