Hello, sorry to be asking but I desperately need help with my medical expenses. Back in June I accidentally cut myself with some rusty garden sheers and immediately went to the doctor to get a tetanus shot. Fast wasn’t fast enough and I still got a bad infection. Ive got blisters and boils on my body that bleed and puss, my face is swelling and causing me to get bloody noses, and it’s very difficult for me to breathe and eat. I’ve been trying to get medical attention for this for a month, but with covid-19 no doctors in my area are accepting new patients and I’m stuck with online video calls with doctors. The calls go anywhere from $75 dollars to $120 depending on how long the call is, not including the steep price of the prescription and antibiotics. They’ve prescribed me many antibiotics that I religiously take but the infection is just not letting up. Every time I video call my doctor he just throws more antibiotics at me but nothing is changing. My immune system isn’t kicking in at all. Im trying to get health coverage with my work but so far they’re saying it might take 45 days to re-enroll in medi-Cal and another few months before I can sign up for covered California. I need help now. David hasn’t been working since March, im teaching remotely from home on zoom, and I’ve had to use all my paychecks for rent. I don’t have money for groceries let alone hospital visits. I’ve been in pain for a month and I’m not looking to be like this for another month. Please help if you can.
